Northcentral Maltese Rescue, Inc.
Northcentral Maltese Rescue was formed in January, 2001, and it was incorporated and applied for its 501(c)3 status that same year. We were expecting about 15 Maltese rescues that year and took in 35. After that, the number of rescues increased yearly. Federal Not-for-Profit status was applied for in 2001 and granted in March 2006.
Our Mission
It is the mission of Northcentral Maltese Rescue, Inc. to take Maltese and other small dogs into rescue that, for whatever reason, need to find new homes. We take in dogs from various situations, owner surrenders, shelters and more. We do all we can to alleviate the rescue’s pain or suffering by providing all necessary veterinary care. Our dogs are placed in safe, secure foster homes. All dogs are spayed or neutered, provided all vaccinations and are microchipped. Northcentral Maltese Rescue will work hand- in-hand, when possible, with other dog rescues. Placement of dogs follows complete background checks as well as home visits of new potential adopters. The safety and well-being is the priority for all dogs that come into our care.
