Northcentral Maltese Rescue, Inc.

Northcentral Maltese Rescue was formed in January, 2001, and it was incorporated and applied for its 501(c)3 status that same year. We were expecting about 15 Maltese rescues that year and took in 35. After that, the number of rescues increased yearly. Federal Not-for-Profit status was applied for in 2001 and granted in March, 2006.

Our Mission

It is the mission of Northcentral Maltese Rescue, Inc. to take Maltese and other small dogs into rescue that, for whatever reason, need to find new homes. We take in dogs from various situations, owner surrenders, shelters and more. We do all we can to alleviate the rescue’s pain or suffering by providing all necessary veterinary care. Our dogs are placed in safe, secure foster homes. All dogs are spayed or neutered, provided all vaccinations and are microchipped. Northcentral Maltese Rescue will work hand- in-hand, when possible, with other dog rescues. Placement of dogs follows complete background checks as well as home visits of new potential adopters. The safety and well-being is the priority for all dogs that come into our care.

What people are saying…

Wonderful group of people!!! In my time of need for simple support never imagined Facebook could be useful anymore but was wrong. I quickly learned there are good things, just need to look as I did. I`m a Northcentral Maltese convert will be doing what I can to help.
I have adopted 3 dogs from Northcentral Maltese. All three were in a very loving, caring foster homes. The dogs truly thrive due to the wonderful care they receive. Helping these dogs in need and finding the right home is top priority. I would highly recommend adoption from this wonderful organization.

What a great group! This organization is so caring and helps as many dogs as they can! They really ensure these special dogs find the best forever homes. We will be forever grateful to them for allowing us to adopt our little guy Jupiter. Having him has really changed our lives for the better!
Wonderful, caring rescue that does everything it can for little dogs. Primarily Maltese but also rescue yorkies and other small dogs. We have volunteered for the rescue for years and it is the best. We also adopted two of our dogs from this rescue and we highly recommend them for adopting or volunteering.
