We have numerous dogs at various phases of intake. They will be added once vetting is complete.
Our dogs have been fully vetted prior to becoming available for adoption. We treat all issues presented at the time of intake; full blood panels, dentals(if required), vaccinations, spayed/neutered and we microchip the dogs as well. We share all the health and life details that we have with adoptees in addition to being available to address any questions or concerns after adoption.
While you may not fully understand the reason behind every aspect of our process, we hope you will support, respect, and appreciate that every step is necessary. Please visit our Adoption Process page for further details.

Millie – Racine, WI
Millie is a 6-year-old Maltese mix and she’s as sweet as they come. This gentle girl may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but she warms up quickly and becomes a very loving companion.
Millie enjoys car rides, being close to her people, and happily following you around the house. She also appreciates having her own cozy safe spot where she can relax and recharge.
One of Millie’s best qualities is how well she gets along with the dogs she has met. She’s polite, easygoing, and enjoys having canine companions around.
Millie recently had all of her teeth removed, but don’t let that fool you — this girl still loves her hard kibble and eats like a champ! She hasn’t let it slow her down one bit.
Millie is a sweet, gentle soul who will thrive in a home that gives her a little patience at first and lots of love after that.

Howard – Freemont, WI
At just 2 years old and 10 pounds, this little boy has already learned how to navigate life in his own quiet way. While other dogs listen for their names or the sound of a treat bag, Howard watches. He studies your face, follows your movements, and connects
through gentle touch and eye contact. It’s how he understands love—and how he gives it right back. And oh, does he love.
Howard lives for the little moments: racing across the yard in joyful zoomies, proudly carrying around his favorite toy, and curling up beside you at night, safe and content. When he looks at you, really looks at you, it feels like he sees straight into your
heart.
Being deaf doesn’t slow him down—it just makes him special. He’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and ready to build a language of his own with someone patient enough to show him the way. All he needs is a person willing to guide him with kindness, consistency,
and love.
He gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats, adores his people, and is already crate trained and making great progress with housetraining. For his safety, a secure fenced yard is important—but more than anything, he just needs a home where he belongs.
Right now, Howard is waiting in his foster home in Fremont, Wisconsin… waiting for someone to see him not for what he lacks, but for everything he is.
Because what Howard offers is rare.
A connection deeper than words.
A love you can feel in every glance.
A bond that doesn’t need sound to be heard. ❤️

When our dogs are ready for adoption, our foster parents have had time to evaluate them and determine their needs for a new home. We have created an Adoption Process that will ensure a smooth and safe transition from our rescue to your family. Our top priority is ensuring our Maltese go to the best possible forever home.
